Solidean Blender Addon

A drop-in Blender addon that brings Solidean's high-performance exact mesh Booleans straight into Blender. Install the zip from Blender's addon manager and go.

The download is a single cross-platform zip. It contains the addon plus a Solidean Community Edition binary for Linux and Windows, so the same file works on every desktop Blender install.

  1. Download the zip above.
  2. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install... and select the zip.
  3. Enable Solidean in the addon list.

No compilation, no extra dependencies.

Status

This addon is experimental / work-in-progress. It already does the core job (high-performance exact Booleans on Blender meshes), but expect rough edges. Issue reports and feature requests are very welcome at solidean-blender-addon/issues.

On our roadmap:

  • Attribute transfer, including materials
  • CSG trees (non-destructive Boolean stacks)
  • Better mesh healing for problematic inputs

License

The addon code is MIT-licensed and developed in the open at solidean-blender-addon.

The zip on this page is a convenience bundle of the MIT-licensed addon plus the Solidean Community Edition binary. As such it is governed by the Solidean Community License: free for personal, evaluation, research, and other non-commercial use. Commercial operation requires a separate license.

If you'd rather pull the pieces apart, grab the addon source from GitHub and the Solidean Community Edition SDK separately.
